This is an opportunity to assist elderly and disabled adults, low income parents, and children in foster care. Many of these DHS clients need transportation to medical, counseling and other appointments.
We currently have an urgent need for drivers, especially those who can take foster children to regularly scheduled visits with their parents in our DHS offices.

Lunch Buddy Volunteers

Our Lunch Buddy Program is a school-based program where an adult is matched with a youth for at least one semister. You have lunch, chat about school, life, peers, future education, etc….You truly can make a difference, providing a youth a chance to feel better about themselves, have hope for the future and know that someone, other than a parent cares for them.

Disaster Action Team Volunteer

Every day, American Red Cross volunteers make a difference in our community.
As an American Red Cross Volunteer you can help others as well as gain valuable experience and make friends! Your gifts of time and talent help Red Cross provide services to people in need.
Disaster Action Team volunteers help provide disaster relief and assist people in preventing, preparing for and responding to emergencies.
They provide food, shelter, clothing and counseling to victims of home fires and other disaster Through a 24 –hour on-call emergency service. DAT responds to over 60 home fires a year, providing direct assistance to families in need. 16-20 hours of training are provided For free by the Red Cross. Requires at least a 1-year commitment.
