Thurston High School
ASPIRE Mentor at Thurston H.S.
- What?
-
Do you ever wish someone had helped you figure out what you wanted to do after high school? Do you see potential in youth and want to help them achieve their goals? If so, then you’d be a great ASPIRE Mentor at Thurston or Springfield High School.
ASPIRE mentors work one-on-one with students helping them plan and prepare for life after high school. They help educate students on college and non-college training programs, and how to find the money to make it all happen. You don’t have to already know how to navigate this process (we’ll train you), but it helps to have good communication skills and to be comfortable learning new information and able to then share that information with students.
Volunteers do not have to have prior college experience. Applicants will need to pass a background check. Please call 541-744-5000 and ask for Jen Barringer for more information.
